In the event of a refusal to fulfill the requirements, the Neople trade union is ready to start a strike

Neople’s gaming company reported that 917 out of 1091, its participant voted to conduct a full -fledged strike. The reason that prompted people to be such a step remains the same – the unwillingness of the company’s management to pay monetary reward for mass processing.

The main requirement of the trade union is the payment of all the promised compensation for processing and the distribution of 4% of the operating profit between all employees. Since in 2024 the NEOPLE operating profit amounted to 982.4 billion won, 4% of this amount is approximately 39.296 billion won and each employee should receive about 29.96 million won.

Earlier, the trade union tried to attract the attention of the leadership of two open -air rallies in front of the offices in the Cheul and Seoul. However, it was not possible to achieve a compromise, after which it was decided to hold a vote from May 26 to May 26.

Despite the right to hold a strike, the leadership of the trade union is in no hurry to implement it, as this can seriously affect the process of preparing updates for games. First of all, the strike is considered as an additional pressure lever in current negotiations with the leadership. However, in the event of further failures, employees are ready to take this step, which can affect not only Neople itself, but also on its mother’s company – Nexon.

In 2024, the situation also almost reached the strike against the backdrop of the unwillingness of the leadership to index salaries above 6.3%. Then the situation was resolved, however, the issue of monetary compensation for processing is still unresolved.
